This product is well-made and works beautifully. The moon is realistic, and the automatic settings function well. In both the automatic cycling of the phases of the moon and the manual single-phase mode turn off after 1 hour to preserve the batteries. Unfortunately, the moon is somewhat bright and was disruptive to my son's bedtime ritual. If you have a child who enjoys a somewhat bright nighlight or open bedroom door for sleeping, this product may be ideal. However, if your child has difficulty falling asleep, you may want to reconsider.
